The Bud Light River City Rockfest is an annual rock music festival that takes place over Memorial Day weekend on the AT&T Center grounds in San Antonio, Texas. In addition, the festival had three performances by the Hellzapoppin Circus Sideshow throughout the day, performance by the School of Rock San Antonio, and body painting by Beyond The Canvas.
Hellzapoppin Circus Sideshow
We’re mavericks, trail blazers, rebels, rule breakers, outlaws...true uninhibited artists. We deliver our message through sideshow, and fuel our art through passion. Named after one of the most successful Broadway Musicals and Movie from the late 30’s & 40’s, Hellzapoppin is a world renown theatrical ROCK-N-ROLL circus stunt-show where some of the deadliest stunts in live entertainment are performed to a LIVE audience with emphatic rock music.
Born in December of 2008 originating in Dallas, Texas and later moved to Jacksonville, Florida. SEEN ON TV, Travel Channel, Discovery Channel and at Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, Guinness Books of World Records and more!
Spectators will experience one of the world’s last authentic circus sideshows with performances using the human anatomy and death defying stunts of mind over matter, yet with no blood and no pain. This Vaudeville Freak Show of wonder features LIVE stunts of mind over matter like: Fire Eating, Fire Breathing, The Bed of Nails. The Human Block-head, The Razor Sharp Machete Walk, Acrobatic Stunts, Glass Eating, Sword Swallowing, Knife Throwing & Archery using human targets, Illusion's like the Chinese Blade Box of Death, Human Oddities & Curiosities such as a real-live half-man who walks on his bare hands on broken shards of glass, and much more.

We believe the best way to learn music is to play music. We take students of all ages from the lesson room to the stage, developing their confidence, talent, and teamwork with programs designed for all skill levels.
School of Rock teaches guitar, bass, vocals, keyboards, drums and combines weekly private music lessons and group band rehearsals to prepare students to take the stage in front of live audiences in an authentic concert setting.
Beyond The Canvas
Beyond The Canvas was started in 2010 by Tomas Vasquez, local artist and event organizer. Since then we have tripled in size with about 100 members including artists, models, photographers and volunteers. BTC hosts an annual body painting competition where artist & model pairs from all over the country compete to win cash prizes, trophies and recognition. In recent months lead artists Rita Garza, & Shauna Burns have helped bring BTC to the next level as a professional body painting art organization.
We are now in the process of providing workshops and classes to teach young artists in San Antonio not only face & body painting but every aspect and form of art to literally think “Beyond The Canvas”. BTC has been involved in many festivals & events year round including The Flesh Art Show NOLA, Body Art Caberat ATL, River city Rock Fest, Alamo City Comic Con, Una Noche En La Gloria, Zombiewalk and many more. We have also worked with companies such as American Airlines, La Cantera, H-E-B, Institute of Make Up Artistry & Citibank. Look out for dates on The Texas Body Paint Competetion.
