Hailing from the sleepy beach city of Santa Barbara, California, Rebelution formed just a few short steps from the beach, a fact that's reflected in their laid back brand of Reggae fusion. After rising to local success with tireless touring up and down the California coast, the band made their album debut with 2007's Courage to Grow, which was selected as iTunes Editor's Choice for Best Reggae Album of 2007.Rebelution was the main act at the ACL Live Moody Theater with guests Iya Terra. The band continues across the United States and Canada with the last stop at the California Roots Music and Arts Festival in Monterey, California on May 24, 2019.
The follow-up Bright Side of Life would prove an even bigger success, landing at No. 1 on the Top Reggae Albums chart and leading to slots at festivals including Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. With a new album in the works and extensive tour dates in 2014, Rebelution is poised to achieve even greater heights.
