Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas 2019 at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas on April 14, 2019.
The horsepower rodeo at the Red Bull Grand Prix of the Americas produced a stunner: the King of COTA Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda Team) lost his crown, it was picked up by a first time premier class winner in the form of Alex Rins (Team Suzuki Ecstar), Valentino Rossi (Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP) secured a second consecutive P2, Pramac Racing’s Jack Miller earned his first Ducati podium and the Ducati of Andrea Dovizioso (Mission Winnow Ducati) leaves Texas as the title leader.
All this, combined with what we saw in Qatar and Argentina, has made the start to the 2019 season an absolute belter. We’ve seen three different winners on three different manufacturers: Dovizioso and Ducati in Qatar, Marquez and Honda in Argentina and Rins on board the Suzuki in America – the Hamamatsu factory’s first win since the 2016 British GP.
Alex Rins - Spanish Grand Prix motorcycle racer, having made his début in the Moto3 World Championship, in the 2012 season. Rins was the 2011 Championship winner of the Spanish 125GP series and winner of the 2019 Grand Prix of the Americas.
"This is an amazing racing facility to see Formula 1 and MotoGP events. The track has great views for spectators all around. Thoroughly modern. Great services. Close to downtown Austin and the airport. If you like speed, get here."The Qatar GP produced the closest ever top 15 premier class finish, with just 0.6 splitting the top five. And on Sunday in Texas, we saw a rider secure a maiden MotoGP™ win for the first time since the aforementioned 2016 Silverstone race. Not to mention Pol Espargaro (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) securing the Austrian factory’s best ever qualifying result with a P5 in Texas, backing it up with their best dry race finish of eighth, and rookies like Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha SRT) getting stuck in it to MotoGP™’s top dogs from the off.
"Awesome time at the Grand Prix of Austin last year. The race was great and loud! It was an experience of a life time."
"Husband is an avid motorcycle enthusiast and has been to many races including MotoGP abroad. This was his first time here and my first ever. AMAZING!!!!! Lots of stuff to see in between the races. The circuit is well designed. It was very well organized, getting to parking and getting out was fairly straightforward. We will definitely be back!"
"Wow wow wow, why I didn't know about this place? This is a world class facility. Moto GP was held there and I was so impressed with this place. The facility is enormous but everything is very organized and clean. From the parking, the shuttle bus was prompt. I stayed only Main Grandstand area for the all final races. The lounge was very nice and food tasted great. The view from the seat was excellent and lawn area was very nice and peaceful. I am looking forward to go back to this place for another big event!"
"The premier road racing venue in North America!"
"Great venue for Moto GP... recently attended for the Moto GP and it was great. The track is fantastic, and they have tons of food vendors."
"Great track and very organized! First time at COTA for MotoGP races and boy were we in for a treat! This track is amazing! Very well organized event. We watched the races from Turn 1 and turn 15...turn 15 had some nice passing that we got to view. Overall, great experience and can't wait until next year!"
"One of the greatest racetracks in the Americas."

Circuit of The Americas
Circuit of The Americas is the premier destination for world-class motorsports and entertainment in the United States. Set on 1,500 acres in the rolling hills just outside downtown Austin, Circuit of The Americas has hosted the biggest names in racing, action sports and music since 2012. At its heart is a 3.41-mile racetrack that was designed to challenge the world's most exacting competitors while providing a thrilling spectacle for audiences.
The 20-turn, counterclockwise circuit takes advantage of the naturally undulating landscape, including an intimidating 133-foot hill at Turn 1 that must be seen in person to be believed. It is home to the only Formula 1 and MotoGP races in the country, the United States Grand Prix and Red Bull Grand Prix of The Americas, and has played host to ESPN's X Games, the FIA World Endurance Championship, IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, Pirelli World Challenge, and more.
