Texas Volleyball defeated Oklahoma, 3-0 (25-17, 27-25, 25-20), in front of a sold-out crowd in Gregory Gym on Saturday evening. In a back-and-forth match with more than 17 ties or lead changes, the Longhorns were able to pull out the sweep.
Junior Logan Eggleston led the Longhorns as she registered her second-straight double-double with 12 kills and 11 digs, along with two aces. Sophomore Brionne Butler posted 10 kills, hitting a team-high .471, and added three blocks, while senior Micaya White added nine kills, two aces, and two blocks.
The freshmen added a spark with Asjia O'Neal contributing four kills and five blocks, and Skylar Fields adding five kills and two blocks. Sophomore Jhenna Gabriel directed the offense with 34 assists, six digs, and a career-high four aces. Sydney Petersen posted 10 digs and three assists, while Claire Hahn also set a career-high with three aces and added three digs. Texas will travel to Morgantown, W.Va. to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers on Saturday, Oct. 19, at noon.
