Erik developed interest in guitar at an early age as he watched his uncles play guitars, accordions, harmonicas and was intrigued with the song "La Bamba". As the years went by Erik's Dad "Rola" bought him his first guitar at the age of 14.Erik Zamora shared the stage with Bob Schneider and Erika Lynn Lewis at the Nutty Brown Amphitheatre.
Erik jammed with friends in high school in a punk band called "Bug" during his freshman years and it was no secret that Erik had a gift of crowd control. He could lift his hand and the whole crowd would levitate. After High School Erik joined many Cover bands playing every possible style of music you can think of; from Selena to Sepultura, from Pearl Jam, to P Diddy.
Erik always heard of this magical music city North of the Rio Grande Valley called Austin. Thousands of bands, musicians, artists, festivals, great food, and cool people. Erik packed his guitars and with his family in the rearview mirror and a tear in his eye, he drove and moved to Austin. Erik "Chill E.Dog" Zamora is the lead singer of the power trio Sunglasses and Mushrooms and is now currently playing bass guitar in a classic rock band Bomb Squad.
Nutty Brown Amphitheatre Social Distancing
All tables and all pods of related guests (up to 6 per) will be located at least 6 feet apart at all times. Social distancing of at least 6 feet will be additionally maintained throughout the venue with regard to any / all standing or lines including at the entrance / exit to the venue. Thorough cleaning and sanitization will take place before, during and after the show. We take this matter very seriously and we will zealously protect the safety of all patrons for each and every show.
