Conjuring a bold new version of psychedelia informed by hard rock, soul, post-disco, and pop, Texas combo The Bright Light Social Hour emerged in the late 2000s, taking the rich tradition of Lone Star trippiness and both preserving it and updating it for a new time and place.

Their eponymous 2010 debut full-length made them the toast of Austin, from where they exploded on the international touring and festival scene. Their acclaimed 2015 follow-up, Space Is Still the Place, found an even wider audience through key placements in major television shows. Reeling from the death of their manager/brother, in 2019-2020 they released the 2-part psych epic Jude, recorded at Sunset Sound by Chris Coady (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Slowdive, TV On The Radio). After a year spent writing in lockdown, they emerge with new music as well as a reissue of their debut on the horizon.
TBLSH can do no wrong, they always have so much energy and play from the heart.

Your favorite bands favorite band. Best live act.

Amazing show every time! Love TBLSH!

It was phenomenal. Their set was over two hours and they jammed incredibly the whole time! I'm proud that they're from my city.

Great new album and great live performers. Sound and energy was top notch. Also had a chance to speak to some of the band members... definitely down to earth and sincere!

Such an awesome show!

Great band and energy.

One of the best shows I've ever seen.

classy southern rock with dancy disco feel. soulful harmonies. these guys groove, they killed it. tight clean band.

Seriously one of the best live bands out there today.

Very very good!

There is only one way to find out how exhilarating, exciting, and best of all fun, the bright light social hour are live. I drove over 3 hours to catch them and let me tell you it was worth it. Great music, great show but like I said you have to see for yourself! Don't miss out, don't look back and wonder what if. You have to live, experience, and become aware, that's my advice for you ;)
The Bright Light Social Hour was the main act at the Haute Spot Music Venue with guests Lo Talker. They continue across the United States with the last stop at the LIVEstock Music Festival in Greencastle, Indiana on September 17, 2021.
