Jonathan Terrell has roots music in his blood. Born into a family of ex-cult member musicians, he entered this world in the back room of a trailer hidden out among the deep pines of East Texas.

Making music and working horses was all he knew. Songwriting was an amusement for him until a fateful drive out to see the Pacific. Somewhere among the painted rock desert of Arizona he had an epiphany, a voice, that overtook him there on that endless, scorching blacktop. "You will make music," the desert whispered to him. "You will make music."

Since moving to Austin, Texas and pursuing a career as a solo artist, Terrell has bloomed into a songwriter of deeply moving and resonant country music explorations. He has played with country legends like Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, and Hayes Carll. He has written radio singles for Texas artists like Bart Crow and Mike and the Moonpies.

Jonathan Terrell shared the stage with Midland and Hailey Whitters at the ACL Live Moody Theater. They continue across the United States and Europe with the last stop at the The Long Road Festival 2022 in Lutterworth, United Kingdom on August 27, 2022.
