L.A. Guns was formed in 1983 by guitar player Tracii Guns and, then unknown singer, Axl Rose on lead vocals. The Classic Lineup of Guns, former Girl singer Phil Lewis, Steve, Kelly & Mick, have sold 6 1/2 million records, including 1988's L.A. Guns and 1990's Cocked and Loaded, both of which were certified Gold.
Cocked and Loaded contained the hit single "Ballad of Jayne" that went to #33 on Billboard's Hot 100 and #25 on the Mainstream Rock charts. From the mid-90's to the mid 2000's, after changing lineups twice, L.A. Guns continued to tour and release new music.
Following their successful performance at SiriusXM's HairNation Festival in May of 2016, L.A. Guns went into the studio to record the critically acclaimed, The Missing Peace, the highest selling release for Frontiers Music in 2017. Their 12th release, The Devil You Know, released 2019 to the same critical acclaim. Their new album Checkered Past was released in November 2021.
Since reuniting, Tracii and Phil continue to tour around the world with L.A. Guns which includes Shane Fitzgibbon (drums), Johnny Martin (bass) and Ace Von Johnson (guitar).
This show was a real treat. Taime may not look like he did 30 years ago but dude can still sing. His band was tight and in to it. LA Guns played all the usual songs mixed with some newer material.Setlist for the show at the Haute Spot Music Venue
I recently saw L.A. Guns, they're the only incarnation of the band worth seeing, in my opinion. This is my 11th show and this band just keeps getting better. They are consummate professionals, always on time with a great setlist which spans the decades, including songs from the awesome newest release, The Devil You Know. I highly recommend seeing L.A. Guns when you want to have a great live concert experience and rock out!
This band is still kicking ass. I've seen them a million times over the years and every show is great. Loud music, great energy. I need eleven stars to properly rate.
- Cannonball
- Electric Gypsy
- Over the Edge
- Sex Action
- Gone Honey
- Speed
- Kiss My Love Goodbye
- Never Enough
- The Ballad of Jayne
- Rip and Tear
L.A. Guns shared the stage with Tom Keifer and Faster Pussycat at the Haute Spot Music Venue. They continue across the United States with the last stop at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, California on December 31, 2022.
