No. 1 Texas Volleyball took down No. 4 Minnesota in an epic 3-1 win, 25-21, 25-18, 23-25, 25-22, in front of a sold-out crowd in the home opener at Gregory Gymnasium on Wednesday night. The Longhorns (3-0) played in front of the third-largest crowd in Gregory Gym history with an announced attendance of 4,992. Texas was led by 22 kills from Logan Eggleston, who added six digs, four service aces and two blocks. Asjia O'Neal finished with nine kills, three digs and two blocks. Madisen Skinner and Molly Phillips each finished with seven kills.

Bella Bergmark made her first start as a Longhorn and had a great match with six kills and a team-high four total blocks. Bergmark made an immediate impact in helping lead the Longhorns to a 25-21 first set victory. In the first set she had four kills on four swings and added two blocks. The Longhorns looked good throughout the second set, leading almost start to finish in a 25-18 win. In the third set, Texas dug itself a big hole in but nearly clawed all the way back before dropping it 25-23.
