No. 6 Texas Volleyball took down No. 19 Ohio State in four sets, 25-27, 25-13, 25-14, 25-23, on Thursday night at Gregory Gym. The Longhorns (5-2) will have short turnaround and face another tough battle against No. 11 Washington State on Friday at 7 p.m.

Madisen Skinner tied her career high with 24 kills, hitting .380 in the match with six digs, one ace, one block and one assist. Jenna Wenaas finished with 11 kills, five digs and one block. Devin Kahahawai came off the bench and had a big impact, with six kills, four digs, three blocks and two assists.

Asjia O'Neal had a team-high six blocks and finished with seven kills on 12 swings. Bella Bergmark had nine kills and four blocks, while hitting .643 in the match. Emma Halter finished with a career high 21 digs, to go with four assists and two service aces. Carissa Barnes also finished with 11 digs and three assists.

Ella Swindle dished out a career-high 42 assists and added four blocks, three kills, one dig and one service ace. Ohio State took the first set 27-25, using a big rally to close on an 8-1 run to win the set.

Texas bounced back in a big way in the second set, cruising to a 25-13 win to even the match up 1-1. The Longhorns were up 16-12 before using an 8-0 run to go up 24-12. Kahahawai came off the bench in the second set to hammer six kills on just eight swings.

The Longhorns cruised yet again in the third set, 25-14 to take a 2-1 lead in the match. The Longhorns hit .353 in the set and held the Buckeyes to an .036 hitting percentage. The fourth set was a tough battle, with Texas pulling it out 25-23 to close out the win. The Longhorns trailed 19-17 before rattling off a 5-0 run to take a 22-19 lead. (Source: UT Athletics)
