No. 10 Texas Volleyball rallied for a 3-1 win over No. 9 BYU, 13-25, 25-20, 25-15, 25-20, on Thursday night at Gregory Gym. The Longhorns (8-3, 3-0) will square off with off with the Cougars again on Friday at 7 p.m.

Madisen Skinner had her second double-double of the season with 15 kills and 11 digs, while also adding three service aces. Jenna Wenaas finished with 14 kills, three blocks and three digs. Ella Swindle was outstanding, dishing out 37 assists with nine digs, five kills and five blocks.

Bella Bergmark had five kills and a team-high six blocks, but she really shined in the fourth set. She helped close out the Cougars with four kills and two blocks in the final set. Molly Phillips finished with five kills and Asjia O'Neal added four kills and four blocks.

BYU started fast in the first set and cruised to a 25-13 win to take a 1-0 lead in the match. The Cougars used a 12-0 run early in the set to build a massive lead. The Longhorns bounced back to take the second set 25-20 in a tough back-and-forth battle. The teams were tied at 17-all before Texas finished strong to even the match 1-1.

Texas had an emphatic 25-15 win in the third set to grab a 2-1 lead in the match. The Longhorns trailed early but used a 5-0 run to go up 8-5 before using a 7-0 run to put distance between the teams. Texas hit .321 in the third set and held the Cougars to a .000 hitting percentage.
