Chelsea Cutler has swiftly become a significant figure in the realm of popular music, thanks to her relatable lyrics and meticulously crafted lo-fi soundscapes. In just three years, she transitioned from uploading songs made in her bedroom to amassing over 2 billion streams and garnering praise from notable publications such as Billboard, Complex, PAPER Magazine, Refinery29, and Ones To Watch. Her breakthrough came in 2017 with the single "Your Shirt," leading to her debut EP, Snow In October. Leaving college shortly after, she embarked on tours with Quinn XCII in 2018 and quickly followed up with independent mixtapes Sleeping with Roses and Sleeping with Roses II, which culminated in two sold-out nationwide headline tours.
In early 2019, Chelsea signed with Republic Records and released the collaborative EP "brent" with Jeremy Zucker, highlighted by the platinum-certified single "you were good to me." She further solidified her presence by featuring on Kygo's hit "Not Ok" and gracing the stages of major festivals like Governors Ball, Bonnaroo, and Lollapalooza. Amidst these achievements, she crafted her solo debut album, How To Be Human, exploring various human emotions and psychological facets. The album saw success with the lead single "Sad Tonight" hitting Top 40 radio charts, followed by a sold-out tour, including notable shows at Terminal 5 in New York City.
Despite the challenges of the pandemic in 2020, Chelsea and Jeremy Zucker managed to reunite safely in upstate New York to produce their follow-up EP, "brent ii," released in February 2021. They even performed singles from the EP on national television shows. Concurrently, Chelsea worked on her sophomore album, When I Close My Eyes, which dropped to critical acclaim in October 2020. Fresh from a successful co-headline tour with Quinn XCII, including sold-out shows at prestigious venues like Radio City Music Hall and The Greek, Chelsea is gearing up for another headline tour in Spring 2022 to support her latest album.
Fan reviews:Setlist for the show at the Stubb's Waller Creek Amphitheater
The concert was super fun and Chelsea Cutler is such an amazing performer. It was so nice to see her interact with the crowd and genuinely care about her fans. Would love to see her again the next time she’s in town!
I've seen Chelsea Cutler live before and it was incredible also! She is such a cool and real performer; her music resonates so deeply with my inner sad girl. I brought my brother who hadn't listened to her music before and we had a blast! It's not his usual style but he kept telling me how much fun it was and it surprised him how much he liked the music, both from Chelsea and Yoke Lore so he's a fan of both now.
We loved her sense of humor. She had great energy and good vibes. We had a great time!
This was such a good show! It was so much fun to see her perform and be so real with the audience! Of course there were lights and production, but it felt like Chelsea could stop the show at any time and chat with the audience!
