Formed in Frankenmuth, Michigan in 2012, Greta Van Fleet is a rock band with three brothers - Josh Kiszka (vocals), Jake Kiszka (guitar), and Sam Kiszka (bass/keyboards) - and drummer Danny Wagner. They've toured worldwide, selling millions of records.
Signed by Lava Records in 2017, they released their debut EP "Black Smoke Rising" that same year. The hit single "Highway Tune" topped rock charts for weeks. A follow-up EP "From the Fires" with new songs arrived later in 2017.
Their 2018 debut album "Anthem Of The Peaceful Army" was a huge success, reaching number one on the Billboard Rock Albums chart. Their 2017 EP "From the Fires" even won a Grammy for Best Rock Album.
In 2021, they released their second album "The Battle At Garden's Gate" which was also critically acclaimed. Their latest album "Starcatcher" came out in 2023. Greta Van Fleet is known for energetic live shows, selling out arenas worldwide in 2022. They aim to capture that energy in their recordings.
Their music is influenced by hard rock and blues, with comparisons often drawn to Led Zeppelin due to Josh Kiszka's vocals. While inspired by blues, each member has their own musical tastes. Songwriting is a collaborative effort, often starting with a concept from one member and evolving from there.
Comparisons to Led Zeppelin are frequent. While Jake studied the work of guitarist Jimmy Page, he cites other influences as well. Josh acknowledges Led Zeppelin's influence on his vocals but insists it wasn't intentional. Interestingly, Robert Plant himself is a fan, calling them "Led Zeppelin I" and praising Josh's vocals.

Outstanding! Greta Van Fleet is one of the best new rock bands to come out in a long long time. It is so cool to see a band so excited so personable and so talented. They rocked the house from start to finish.
Greta has continued to amaze without a doubt. I've heard a lot of references to Robert, Geddy, and/or Freddie regarding Josh's vocals, and couldn't agree more. Jake, Sam, and Danny's instrumentals are incredible and perfectly compliment Josh's vocals. Hearing them live was absolutely incredible. I hope they continue to create magic into the foreseeable future.
The show was great! Definitely didn’t disappoint and I look forward to seeing them again and again.
This was the best concert experience I’ve ever had. The music was great and hearing it along with seeing the lights and pyrotechnics was an incredible experience. Greta Van Fleet has released some amazing music and hearing them play and watching them entertain and interact with the crowd in such a fun way makes for a magical night. I’ll never forget it and I can’t wait to go to another show.
I think they were completely worth the money. My mom and I went to see them and she came out of the arena telling me that the next time we see them that she's buying the tickets and we're getting in the pit. Their opening acts were fantastic, the drum solo was on par with Bonham and Peart, and the overall showmanship was splendid. Many compliments to these guys!
Killer show! Great concert, better live band than on records. I'm 61 and have seen most of the great classic rock bands. These guys are right 5/5 Stars!

Greta Van Fleet was the main act at the Moody Center with guests Geese and Mirador. They continue across the United States, Europe, Asia and Mexico with the last stop at the Foro Sol in Ciudad de México, Mexico on September 27, 2024.
