When the pandemic caused the dissolution of the band he had fronted since eighth grade, Joe P found himself in isolation with ample time to experiment solo. From his New Jersey basement studio, he delved into writing, recording, and producing his most personal material yet. Posting these homegrown ideas on TikTok, Joe P quickly amassed millions of views and over 300K followers.
Among his new fans was Apple Music’s Zane Lowe, who accelerated Joe’s career by duetting with his self-made “Fighting In The Car” video. This exposure led to a deal with Neon Gold/Atlantic and the release of Joe P’s debut EP, Emily Can’t Sing, featuring singles like “Leaves,” “Fighting In the Car,” and “Off My Mind.” The latter track held steady at #1 on the Triple A charts and was later reimagined with Grammy-nominated K.Flay.
In August, Joe P released the viral fan favorite “All Day I Dream About” along with a cinematic video. The song achieved Joe’s biggest first week of streaming, with over 13k pre-saves. He followed this success with his sophomore EP, French Blonde, accompanied by the short film ‘If We Run,’ which features four live performances of his music intertwined with a plot inspired by 80s and 90s horror movies.
Joe P co-conceived and wrote the film with longtime collaborator Anthony Yebra, who also directed it. The film stars Michael Gandolfini (The Many Saints of Newark), Kevin Interdonato (The Sopranos), and Joe P himself.
Having spent much of the past year touring with artists like Middle Kids, Joywave, and Spacey Jane, Joe P is set to embark on his first headline tour this spring, including an already sold-out performance in NYC.

Best live show I’ve ever been to! Joe P and his band played phenomenally, they’re talented musicians. The emotion and strategic playing and lyricism made it engaging and really fun. It’s refreshing hearing actual live music, not some premixed and prerecorded back track. I’ve been to over 20 shows and this is in my top two for sure!

Amazing! The first time I saw Joe P he was on tour with Spacey Jane. Joe’s set was the highlight of the night. You can tell he has so much passion for the music he makes and bleeds through in his performance. Each song holds so much emotion. From first listen to each song it sounds simple but there is a deeper meaning. If you ever get the chance to see Joe P you should definitely take that chance. You won’t regret it.
