Formed in Oklahoma City, The Flaming Lips have emerged as one of the most iconic, influential, and unpredictable forces in American alternative rock. Over the years, they’ve earned three GRAMMY® Awards, a Tony nomination, and an RIAA Gold certification for Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots. Q Magazine also named them one of the "50 Bands to See Before You Die."

The Flaming Lips have made numerous late-night TV appearances, starred in a Super Bowl commercial, contributed to various film soundtracks, and collaborated with artists like Miley Cyrus, Chris Martin of Coldplay, Kacey Musgraves, Yoko Ono, and The Chemical Brothers. Their groundbreaking performances have set and broken records, and their interactive audio-visual shows are legendary.

Frontman Wayne Coyne has gained recognition for his artwork, which has graced many of the band’s album covers, as well as his traveling art exhibit, The King’s Mouth, featured in several contemporary art museums across the U.S. Their latest album, American Head, marks a return to a more melodic, song-driven approach and has been widely hailed as their best work in years, landing on many year-end “Best Of” lists globally.

With 22 studio albums, 16 singles, 11 compilations, 11 EPs, and numerous experimental releases in various unique forms, The Flaming Lips continue to push creative boundaries. Their unparalleled innovation has solidified them as an American treasure, carving out a genre entirely their own.
Fan reviews:

So entertaining! We went for Weezer but are casual fans of The Flaming Lips so we were excited to see them as well. We loved the weird inflatables at the show. They were so warm and lovely. Truly wonderful entertainers. After their set we decided to buy one of their bands shirts as well because we had such a good time. Next time they come back around, I'll definitely seek them out.

The perfect summer concert! The Flaming Lips absolutely lit up the stage with artistic magic, filled the air with their one of a kind sound, and tapped into the energy of the crowd stirring up a night of immense fun. Spending a night in sync with thousand of strangers, in a crowd of individuals so different yet experiencing the same joy, may end up being the highlight of my year.

Lips on fire. For a band performing 20 year old material, they crushed it! It was a wonderful show full of great music, creative stage craft, and they played for over two hours! Thank you Wayne and crew!

Amazing time! The Flaming Lips always put on a great show! It was a magical experience! Go see them if you get the chance.

Amazing show in an amazing venue! First of all, the crowd was amazing, singing along, cheering, just so into it. The Flaming Lips sounded amazing and the inflatables and lights made the stage so much fun. Just an all around spectacular experience.

Amazing experience! This was an amazing concert The show is mind blowing. Literally it’s a once in a lifetime experience (even if you’re not a big fan). There’s no other show like it and explaining it to people don’t understand unless they were there. At the end Wayne put his arm out and looked at me and sang “Do You Realize , that you have the most beautiful face” I cried after before second set a roadie asked for my records because Wayne wanted to sign them. At the end of the show he came back with the albums and a setlist! It was a magical night I’ll never forget and 150% will see them again!

Wayne and Stephen and gang just really bring it, despite the recent departure of two band members, the vision of joyful ecstasy as well as humility about life's difficulties is all there in a colorful, audience interactive show.
