The Texas Longhorns wrapped up their non-conference slate with a 3-1 victory over the Hawaii Rainbow Wahine on Friday night at Gregory Gymnasium.
The match, played in front of another sold-out crowd, featured a strong performance from Jenna Wenaas, who led Texas with 15 kills. Devin Kahahawai, a Hawaii native, also had a standout game with 12 kills.
The Longhorns dominated the first set, but Hawaii fought back to win the second. Texas regrouped and regained control in the third and fourth sets to secure the victory.
Texas will now enter SEC play next week, beginning with a matchup against Texas A&M on Friday, October 5th, at 6:30pm in College Station.
