Wolfgang Van Halen, a name synonymous with rock royalty, is poised to make a significant impact with his solo project, Mammoth WVH. The son of legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen, Wolfgang has spent years honing his craft, and his debut album is a testament to his immense talent and dedication.
Playing every instrument and singing every note himself, Wolfgang has created a deeply personal and powerful body of work. His music seamlessly blends catchy melodies with technical prowess, resulting in a sound that is both familiar and innovative. While audiences have witnessed his extraordinary abilities alongside renowned musicians like Tremonti, Clint Lowery, and of course, Van Halen, Mammoth WVH marks a new chapter for Wolfgang, as he takes center stage and steps into the spotlight.
“The name Mammoth is incredibly special to me,” explains Wolfgang. “Not only was it the original name of Van Halen, but my father was also the lead singer. Ever since he shared this with me, I’ve always dreamed of calling my own band Mammoth. It’s a name I’ve always loved, and I’m incredibly grateful that my father had the opportunity to hear and appreciate the music I created. Nothing brought me more joy than seeing how proud he was of me carrying on the family legacy.”
Fan reviews:Setlist for the show at the Moody Center
This band needs to be headlining its own tour. What an epic opening set. Definitely left me wanting more. Wolfgang is an amazing vocalist and a hell of an instrumentalist. Definitely go check them out live! Can’t wait to catch them again.
Awesome! Cannot wait to see them again! We have seen them twice and they were amazing both times!
Wolfie and Mammoth were incredible! From the Vocals to the Guitars I was blown away. I knew the show was going to be awesome, but I wasn't sure what I would see. The bass and drums were great and the whole band was tight! They had the sound absolutely dialed in! Loud but not ear-piercing. You can hear the musicianship better that way.
Absolutely awesome! So much talent, and musicianship! Great sound, great songs. Third year in a row seeing them, and they get better each time. Can’t wait to see them again next year!
Mammoth VH live will blow you away! Wolfie Van Halen is an amazing musician and talent with an awesome stage presence that's bigger than life. If you want to see a true rock show by a talented musician backed by an amazing group of musicians then you owe it to yourself to check out Mammoth VH!
I saw the future of rock. Amazing. First of all I love every song Wolf has. They reproduced the albums note for note and it sounded perfect. Maybe the best group of rock musicians ever assembled. Wolf is just incredible as a songwriter but his live performance was stunning. I believe he will put out a career defining album and will become world renowned . He's already there in my eyes.
