The Wimberley Texans, a force to be reckoned with all season, continued their relentless march through the playoffs with a resounding 69-28 victory over the Cuero Gobblers. This decisive win marked the eleventh time this year that the Texans have outscored their opponents by a margin of 26 points or more, a testament to their offensive firepower and defensive prowess.

At the heart of Wimberley's offensive juggernaut is quarterback Cody Stoever, who once again delivered a virtuoso performance. Stoever completed 77% of his passes for 268 yards and five touchdowns, showcasing his exceptional accuracy and arm strength. He also contributed significantly on the ground, rushing for 125 yards and two touchdowns, demonstrating his dual-threat ability. This marks the third consecutive game in which Stoever has thrown for three or more touchdowns, solidifying his status as one of the most prolific passers in the state.

Joining Stoever in the offensive spotlight was running back Joshua Belanger, who rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown, providing a reliable ground game to complement the aerial attack. Belanger's consistent contributions have been essential to Wimberley's offensive success throughout the season. While the loss was undoubtedly disappointing for Cuero, there were some bright spots in their performance. During this impressive run, the Texans have averaged a staggering 43 points per game, a testament to their offensive efficiency and dominance. Cuero, on the other hand, saw their four-game winning streak come to an end, leaving them with a 9-4 record.
