In a thrilling playoff matchup, the Wimberley Texans narrowly defeated the Sinton Pirates by a score of 36-33. This victory extended Wimberley's impressive winning streak to ten games, solidifying their position as a formidable force in the playoffs. The Pirates, known for their stingy defense, which had allowed an average of only 15 points per game, were unable to contain the high-powered Wimberley offense.

Quarterback Cody Stoever continued his stellar performance, showcasing his dual-threat ability. He rushed for 146 yards and three touchdowns, while also passing for 275 yards and two touchdowns, averaging an impressive 12 yards per attempt. Stoever's exceptional playmaking ability has been instrumental in Wimberley's success this season, as he now averages an astounding 100 rushing yards per game. Wide receiver Jace Morales was a key target for Stoever, hauling in 84 receiving yards.

Despite the loss, Sinton quarterback Triston Handson put on a remarkable performance. He accounted for 254 passing yards and three touchdowns, while also rushing for 49 yards and two scores. Wide receiver Jacoby James was Handson's primary target, finishing the game with 195 receiving yards and a touchdown.

With this victory, Wimberley improved their record to 12-2 and extended their average margin of victory during their ten-game winning streak to 38 points. Sinton, on the other hand, saw their 13-game winning streak come to an end, leaving them with a 13-1 record.

Wimberley's next challenge will be against the high-scoring La Vega Pirates. La Vega has scored 31 or more points in their last nine games, setting up a potential offensive shootout. Wimberley will need to bring their beat game to contain La Vega's potent offense and advance to the next round of the playoffs. Sinton's season, unfortunately, has come to an end. The Pirates can take pride in their accomplishments this year, including their impressive 13-game winning streak. They will now turn their attention to the offseason, eager to build upon their success and prepare for the next campaign.
