Chxrry22 is an Ethiopian-Canadian singer-songwriter recognized for her soulful voice and contemporary R&B style. Chxrry22 released her debut EP, "The Other Side," a seven-track project delving into themes of duality, love, and self-reflection. Tracks like "The Falls" and "Call Me" highlight her introspective lyricism and emotive delivery. She described the EP as an exploration of the multifaceted nature of human experience, stating, "The Other Side is about coming to terms with duality—we all have two sides."
Building on her initial success, Chxrry22 unveiled her second EP, "Siren." This seven-track collection features collaborations with Grammy-winning artist Vory and rap legend Offset. The project showcases a blend of sultry slow jams and upbeat R&B tracks, reflecting her evolution as an artist. Discussing the EP's concept, she explained, "I’ve been working on this project for a very long time, but it wasn’t until the very end where I realized that the energy that I was embodying was that of a siren."
Chxrry22's dynamic stage presence led to her selection as the opening act for The Weeknd's "After Hours Til Dawn" tour in Australia and New Zealand. This opportunity allowed her to connect with a broader international audience and further establish her presence in the global music scene.
