Alice Cooper is not merely a musician he is the defining architect of shock rock, the theatrical godfather who transformed the rock and roll concert into a macabre, immersive experience. He is the master of ceremonies for the wicked and the strange, an artist whose impact on music and culture is indelible, influencing generations of performers from Marilyn Manson to Rob Zombie. Born Vincent Furnier, the Alice Cooper persona emerged as rock music's perpetual, grinning villain, fusing catchy, driving garage rock with the elaborate, terrifying visual language of Grand Guignol theatre. His entire career has been a defiant declaration that rock and roll should be dangerous, fun, and utterly terrifying.
The current tour in 2025 is a powerful affirmation that Alice Cooper is not content to rest on his legendary status or merely deliver a sentimental, nostalgic greatest hits package. Instead, the production is a relentless, fully committed theatrical spectacle that proves his commitment to the spectacle is undiminished. This tour is a meticulously orchestrated nightmare where every song is a scene, every costume change a new act of evil, and every prop a loaded weapon. He ensures the setlist is robust, expertly balancing his immortal classics with material from his recent albums, demonstrating that the Alice Cooper character remains vibrant, creating new darkness even as he celebrates the old.
The moment the Cooper first appears, the audience is plunged into a world of horror vaudeville. The band itself is a formidable, technically brilliant unit, providing the heavy, metallic rock engine that powers the entire show. Their sound is tight and aggressive, laying down the perfect backdrop of menacing guitars and pounding drums for the visual anarchy unfolding at center stage. But the music is just the beginning of this chaotic party. The real draw is the parade of iconic stage props and shocking vignettes. Alice, commanding the stage with his signature menacing grace, cycles through various acts of rebellion and torment.
Midway through the set, the audience is treated to the horrifying precision of the guillotine, a classic centerpiece that sees the villain meet his temporary end, only to be resurrected moments later for another round of mayhem. The heavy, leather straightjacket makes an appearance, utilized during the unsettling rendition of one of his early hits, symbolizing the beautiful madness that defines his persona. Every song is an opportunity for visual flair. During one particular sequence, his legendary live companion, the python , makes a stunning, serpentine appearance, adding a genuine, slithering thrill to the proceedings. The show is not afraid to utilize theatrical blood, confetti, and a plethora of grotesque mannequins and dolls, maintaining a continuous atmosphere of playful, yet potent, terror.
Ultimately, seeing Alice Cooper on tour in 2025 is an experience that transcends a typical rock show. It is a brilliant masterclass in showmanship, delivered with a sense of humor that only a true theatrical icon can possess. He delivers the high-powered rock anthems like "Poison" and "Feed My Frankenstein" with the same intensity as he did decades ago, transforming the arena into a gigantic, communal funhouse of the macabre. The night culminates in the unavoidable, massive call to arms, "School's Out," during which the stage explodes in streamers, confetti, and pure rock and roll rebellion. Alice Cooper remains the eternal rock and roll villain, unkillable, unrepentant, and still capable of delivering one of the most exciting and expertly crafted live spectacles in music.
Fan reviews:Setlist for the show at the Germania Insurance Amphitheater
I saw Alice Cooper live for the eighth time. This was also my third time seeing Judas Priest in concert. This is easily the best tour package I have seen with Alice Cooper. Judas Priest is on equal ground. Iconic. Influential. The two bands are a great compliment to each other. Corrosion of Conformity was a great opener. Loud. Energetic. They engaged the crowd and had us ready for what was coming. I will never forget it. Alice Cooper never grows tiring. He just gets better. Judas Priest is the same. Bands that defy time. Bands that you find yourself always showing up to see again next time. And I will.
An excellent night of loud music! Alice Cooper and Judas Priest did not disappoint. An excellent show by both bands. Great tunes and audience participation. Corrosion of conformity was awesome, to open the show and get the crowd rocking
What a show! My first time seeing all of the acts and they were awesome! I'm even more of a fan of Alice Cooper!
We splurged with an Alice Cooper meet & photo op, and it made our year! Alice was so witty and the photos will be cherished for a lifetime! Judas Priest absolutely killed it on stage with a perfectly executed set. Halford’s vocals were outstanding as he ripped through those high notes like no other and Faulkner’s crowd interaction was rivaled only by his masterful playing. Looking forward to Priest’s return in the future as I’m already planning for their next visit. Alice Cooper brought the lightning with his unrivaled stage presence, vocals along with the guitars were all exceptional. His show was phenomenal and it brought all the music, magic and imagery that make Alice a living legend! Thank you Alice and Priest for an evening that we’ll always remember!
One of the greatest showmen who ever walked this earth! Alice delivers and I keep coming back for more, thanks for so many memories, rock on!
