A new era of hope, survival, and prosperity comes calling with the release of Crash of The Crown, Styx’s new “masterpiece” studio album, which was written pre-pandemic and recorded during the trying times of the pandemic.

The multi-Platinum rockers–James “JY” Young (lead vocals, guitars), Tommy Shaw (lead vocals, guitars), Chuck Panozzo (bass, vocals), Todd Sucherman (drums, percussion), Lawrence Gowan (lead vocals, keyboards) and Ricky Phillips (bass, guitar, vocals)–released their 17th album June 18, 2021 on the band’s label, Alpha Dog 2T/UMe, which is available as clear vinyl, black vinyl, CD on digital platforms.

They released more new music on September 17, 2021, THE SAME STARDUST EP, originally sold as part of Record Store Day (June 12, 2021). Available on blue 180-gram 12-inch vinyl only, featuring two brand-new songs on side one (“The Same Stardust” and “Age of Entropia”), as well as five live performances on side two of some of Styx’s classic hits previously heard during their “Styx Fix” livestreams that have been keeping fans company during the pandemic on their official YouTube page, including “Mr. Roboto,” “Man In The Wilderness,” “Miss America,” “Radio Silence,” and “Renegade.” It’s available worldwide on all digital platforms.
Styx is a "have to see" whenever they are on tour. We've seen them ten times and can't wait for eleven. By themselves or teamed with REO, Foreigner, Journey, they are awesome. Don't miss their next show. You won't regret it.

Saw Styx back in '79 with James DeYoung and yeah it was a good show but Gowan was every bit as good and you could tell Tommy, JY and Chuck really enjoyed playing together with the "new" guy.

This was my first time seeing Styx and they were awesome. The sound was great. The band was excited to play and involved the crowd. I had lots of fun. The best was when both bands played a Lover Boy song. That’s an awesome show of respect for friends and their fans. I would see them again including REO Speed Wagon. Rock n Roll will never die.

I never saw Styx perform before last evening. They performed an excellent cross section of songs from their career. Tommy Shaw is an overlooked talent when people rank American guitar players and singers. Besides Styx, his work with Damn Yankees and his cover album with Jack Blades of Night Ranger showcase his talent.

This is our 4th time seeing Styx and they are still awesome. It's great to see Tommy Shaw & James Young still tearing it up on stage. They also brought out their original bass player, Chuck Panozzo, for their classic songs Renegade, Come Sail Away, and Fooling Yourself.

Couldn’t have asked for a better setlist from this Styx lineup. Tommy Shaw and JY’s voices are in superb shape and Gowan really finds his own place covering Dennis DeYoung’s songs and has an awesome opportunity to shine when they play songs from The Mission. The showmanship and the way that the members play off the crowd shows that Styx’s 40+ years of existence has really made them a class act.
